My favorite part of a man…

Here's more of what readers want from a romance blog: MALE BODY PARTS.

You hear about breast men, leg men, ass men...but what do women go for in a man?

Reading romance for a living, it seems guys over six feet tall with broad chests and shoulders, narrow hips and butts that look great in snug jeans seem to be pretty standard. I talked to a few friends, and they've responded with different things, too: strong hands, strong necks, While I love all those things, there is one body part that I frequently perk up at.

Eyebrows.

I never realized I had this particular fetish. It's not one of my husband's more dominant traits (sorry, hon, I married you for your fine looks, intelligence, sense of humor and a host of other qualities I could wax poetic about, but this is a romance blog, not an I-love-my-husband blog....*) But there's something about well-groomed, strong, expressive eyebrows with character that gets my attention.

I think my first exposure was to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's infamous "People's Eyebrow"...which is an absolutely ridiculous name for a ridiculous trademark. And yet it has the ladies--and guys--screaming.

Another set of fine eyebrows belong to James Marsters, aka Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was already pretty slick to start with, but whenever he raised one, boy howdy, it was like a little flag going up and saying HEL-LO GIRLS!

My ย most recent eyebrow crush is Jason Momoa, who plays Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, and will be starring in the new adaptation of Conan the Barbarian. Granted, they applied some wicked guyliner for the Drogo part, but those eyebrows...along with everything else... *fans self*

I want to hear about your favorite parts of a man. What gets your attention? Maybe it's not a physical trait, but a little habit, or the way they smell.

Leave a comment and I'll randomly pick a winner for a copy of Her Son's Hero! Draw will take place Friday, August 12, 2011, 9 p.m. EST.

*Note: I love my husband lots and lots.

  1. That Husband o' mine's hands are my favorite part--if I had to choose ONE. I love how they look and how they feel, as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love eyebrows too, but I go for (ahem) jaws.
Strong jaws. With clean, whole teeth. And if there's a full mouth to go with that jaw, a well formed, cupid's bow of a mouth, I'm done for! ๐Ÿ˜€ And I have bragging rights: my husband doesn't wear black sunglasses anymore because he's tired of hearing "you look just like Neo!" (Matrix). Same thick hair, same strong jaw, same lips... much improved for all the scars he sports, in his face, his hands, etc...

Oh! and hands!!!! I love a man's man hands. No soft, smooth hand for me! give me big, strong, calloused hands, bonus if he has scars from working so much with them....

  3. I never would have thought about eyebrows before. What an interesting trait to look for in a man. My biggest weakness are guys with a nice bicep...I love arms! It's one of the first things I look at when I look at a man. If you can tell they do some hard physical labor or at least workout a bit I'm all over it. Now they can't be too big, it can be a bit too much when they look like a body builder that's been pumping steroids on a regular basis. Just some good solid arms. Yep, I could go on forever! LOL. I'm stopping now. ๐Ÿ˜›

  4. Hands... I swoon at big, manly hands with long elegant fingers. My husband has them and they were the first thing I noticed, even before his fine behind, which is the second thing I check out ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. My favorite part of a man is his forearms. Weird to some, I know, but I cannot stand wimpy men who cannot lift, carry, open jars, etc. A man who has strong muscles in his forearms is able to take care of things, and me ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I have always been a sucker for a man's arms. No bulging biceps for me. I much prefer the honed and toned look and feel that is earned from manual labour and not found in a gym. Just knowing that he knows what hard work really is and feeling it as you run your hands over the muscle, feeling the strength when he flexes... Okay, I'm going to stop before I start drooling. I'm definitely an arm girl. (Which is why I enjoy summer so much... Man arms everywhere!)

I love a man for his personality and his heart. On the physical side he have sexy soft lips to kiss on will not be bad at all. I love a peach plumb butty to grab in heated moments. My most wildest fantasy have hair not frisky but fuzzy on his chest to lay on like a teddy bear.
