I am an information professional and freelance editor with over ten years’ experience. I am skilled at copy editing and proofreading and excel at managing deadlines. My experience includes editing romance and general fiction, trade magazines, professional journals, and educational resources. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Brock University and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Western University. I am also a graduate of the Book and Magazine Publishing Program at Centennial College. Past clients include Harlequin Enterprises, Annex Business Media, and Nelson Education.

She was a Supervising Editor at McGraw-Hill Ryerson and has been a Proofreader for Harlequin since 2012.

Biographical Info

With over a decade of experience in the publishing industry, Kate Studer has put her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo, Ontario to good use, spending a brief stint in youth magazine publishing before transitioning to books, working as an in-house assistant editor for Harlequin. There, she worked primarily with their MIRA and HQN imprints before becoming a freelance editor and copywriter, where she’s incredibly fortunate to continue working with a host of New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors in a variety of genres.
